Dr. Chloe Reiman, an accomplished electrical engineer and licensed electrologist, is set to deliver our keynote address. With a robust background in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and experience at top research institutions like Sandia National Labs and Intel Corporation, Dr. Reinman brings a unique perspective to our field. Her transition into electrology underscores her commitment to advancing the science behind hair removal. In her session, she will demystify the fundamentals of electricity and electrolysis, focusing on the practical application of DC (Galvanic) and AC (RF or Thermolysis) technologies in treating superfluous hairs.

With over 40 years of experience in Iridology, Applied Kinesiology, Herbal Nutrition and Vitamin Supplementation, Cindy brings a wealth of knowledge to the forefront. She is passionate about helping others find a path to better health with nature’s help.

This course provides training for electrologists on the principles and practices of positioning during gender affirming electrolysis hair removal. Participants will explore the nuances of providing inclusive, respectful, and supportive electrolysis services to transgender and non-binary individuals. The course covers key topics such as cultural competence, communication strategies, and the specific hair removal needs of transgender patients. Emphasis will be placed on body positioning techniques to ensure patient comfort and optimal treatment outcomes.

Dr. Frank Vaught Jr., DC, a Chicago Chiropractic physician, is the founder and owner of Health on Earth Wellness Centers, LLC. Dr. Vaught is a community leader for personal health and wellness and an inspirational speaker. Early in his life sacrifice, ethics, and hard work were choices. It’s engrained in his DNA. Growing up in Detroit, MI, Dr. Vaught’s primary focus was helping people maintain composure in the face of adversity.

A review of anatomy and physiology will be followed by an overview of common ophthalmic conditions, some dos and don’ts in management, and lastly, some case presentations with relevance to electrology. Dr. Marsico is an Eye Physician and Surgeon specializing in Anterior Segment Surgery of the Eye and Laser Vision Correction.

Rai Khamisa, LCSW (they/them), is UCSD Health’s Gender Health Program Director. A POC gender-affirming licensed therapist, Rai takes pride in serving their communities. They have built a career working with queer and transgender individuals, BIPOC communities, and institutions committed to creating affirming environments for gender-diverse people. Rai continues to reach out to LGB+, transgender, gender-diverse, and BIPOC communities through therapy, case management, supervision, program development, and training.

A registered nurse since 2005, he brings a wealth of experience from med-surg, psych, long-term, and sub-acute care. With 12 years dedicated to infection prevention, Skip is currently pursuing a master’s degree as a nurse practitioner.
