Joining the AEA

The American Electrology Association (AEA) is the largest international nonprofit membership organization for permanent hair removal professionals.

The stronger our membership base, the more effective we can be at negotiating favorable rates for critical products and services, communicating the value of electrolysis to a wider audience, and influencing regulations.

Membership in the association is open to all electrologists who have a minimum formal education, high school diploma or GED equivalent, have successfully completed training and provide documentation with a photocopied certificate of completion from a School of Electrology showing date of graduation and number of hours completed (320 minimum required).

Prorated Membership Period

When joining between Jun 1, 2026 and Sep 30, 2026 membership dues are prorated and your membership will be paid up for the current year and all of the following year.
